Sunshine and the Monkey Man. .the great outdoors. .sure its your turn..show me your stuff.

Sunshine and the Monkey Man had been planning this trip for weeks..the baseball season had wound down..school was just a few weeks away..they had decided to end an amazing summer with the perfect camping trip..Sunshine had a new tent with no instructions. .maybe not new but yard sale used once..Monkey Man went out and foraged supplies..they decided the red coke a cola car would be their trailer as the packed in the hot dogs and marshmallows. .Dr.Peppers..hey even a ray of light can have a craving..

So with the trailer in tow and the mini packed tight they different but happy pair made their way to the back side of the dark side of the moon mountain. .were the stream reaches the lake..once there Monkey Man got to work on setting up the tent..3 hours and lots of damns and then somes Sunshine walked over and set the center pole..done..Monkey Man thinks..well being she reads the stories to he takes the 5th and remains silent. .as the sun begins to set and the small fire is burning. .the smell of hot dogs and sounds of laughter fills the air..just as Sunshine gets this serious look on her face..she needs to warn the Monkey Man of the dangers of camping. .

First she tells him of the bloody headless lady that is sometimes seen wondering these grounds..and please don't worry she's just a ghost and can't harm you..well I'm not so sure about Monkeys..justbbe careful. .Monkey Man is sweating silently far enough away she can't smell his fear.

Then Sunshine proceeds to tell him about the big black bear the sits in the woods..not really a miss print beat ya got it..at this point Monkey Man has to stop her..Look Sunshine I ain't afraid of no ghosts but bears well that's a different story. .Sunshine says in her sweet soft voice that remember to respect all creatures and they will respect you..MM thinks about the last time he used that strategy. .pecked by a pecker..gored by a goat..bit by a borro and peed on by a penguin. .not going there again..as the zip the tent closed for the night..crawl in their bags and shut out the light..sweet dreams Sunshine ..nighty night Monkey Man..

Monkey Man was awakened with a start. .he heard a noise. .a crunch like a giant walking. .and a low gggggrrrr..he slowly crawls to the zipper..slow and quite he opens it enough to peak through. ..there staring at him is the biggest. .ugliest. .fattest..baddest black bear ever..he was so close he could smell his breath..Monkey Man slowly closes the zipper..crawls over to where Sunshine is sleeping. .gently he shakes her shoulder. .Sunshine wake up..with a soft sleepy somewhat grouchy voice see asks what is it..Sunshine remember the bear you told me about...well he's sitting by the the door..I think he's looking for some respect. .this ones all yours baby..

Well 6 packs of hot dogs all the marshmallows and half the Dr.Peppers later the bear finally leaves..as the sun begins to rise the happy campers pack there gear..share a big hugs and take the slow trip home...summer is about to leave us..we had one last adventure to share..hugs..
